I’ve always loved helping others, and that’s what sparked creating Mare Assistance.
I’m obsessed with reading thrillers, lighting candles, walking outside, finding new coffee shops, and snuggling with my dog Sammy.
You can call me Mare
As a high school teacher, soccer coach, wedding assistant, self-defense instructor, former collegiate athlete, proud aunt, and forever learner, I have worn/still wear many hats. Throughout these different roles, I’ve discovered my purpose in life, in this current season especially, is to assist and empower others.
I have been incredibly fortunate to grow up surrounded by strong, inspiring women, and I continue to choose a community with women who encourage, empower, and uplift one another. Friends, family members, mentors, and former coaches have shaped me into the woman I am proud to be today. So many badasses who believed in lifting others up rather than tearing them down, and who truly wanted everyone to win. I am grateful for their guidance, strength, and example.
I think back to the many phases of my life so far—many awesome phases, but also many uncertain, awkward, anxious, and insecure ones. While some memories bring a sense of vulnerability, cringiness, and tough self reflection, I am grateful for every stage, because each one led me here.
I am so thankful to those who supported me, challenged me, gave me tough love, and believed in me when I needed it most. Women who don’t have a victim mentality, but only a growth mindset. It is so important to ask for help, and sometimes we forget it is okay to do so. Now, it is my turn to be the help that other women need!
I am so excited to lean into this purpose with more intention. What began as a passionate idea and notes app scribbles has evolved into something I’m ready to bring fully to life. While this work exists to support others, it really is just such a fun project for me.
This business is my way of bringing this purpose to life beyond teaching and coaching. I hope to reach women of all ages, stages, and various needs. It is my mission to reduce stress, offer support where it’s needed most, and be the biggest advocate along the way.
