Women/Mom’s Are Actually Superhuman

A special thank you to my mom, sister, and Aunt Lisa. This is the part of my website that will just be my own personal safe space to yap. I figured it would be appropriate for my first blog post to dedicate it to all of the women who have gotten me here, and wanted to give a special dedication to specifically my mom, sister, and aunt Lisa.

Mom, just like the photo, you have literally always had my back. We have had our challenging times (who hasn’t), but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. We have always taken care of one another, and I will always do my best to take care of you. All you do is worry about everyone else, and I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for our family our whole entire lives. When I look back on your coming home everyday after commuting round trip 2+ hours 5 days a week, I literally can see it as you come through the kitchen door in your power woman outfit with a superwoman cape on. You are the strongest woman I know, and the most selfless. You always pushed us to work hard and help others. Thank you for inspiring me to create something of my own to be proud of. You are the original boss woman business owner. Thank you for learning and growing with me, and laughing with me along the way. I cherish where our relationship is today more than you know. I hope moving forward you rest, and let me be the one to help you this time around. I wish you would’ve had more assistance during your corporate working years, it would’ve lightened your stress/mental load so much. I hope you continue in your retirement era to keep doing the things that make you happy, but finally let others take care of you. 

Kell, thank you for being the best big sister I could ever ask for. We always joke that you are the best person in the family, but it is true. You are literally our family’s rock. We all want to be more like you! The way you move through life as a mom, sister, friend, teacher, total superwoman and do it with ease is so inspiring. I can only dream of being half the mom you and mom are. 

Aunt Lisa, thank you for being my twin and inspiring us all always, but especially this past year. You and mom share the trait of caring for everyone around you like your life depends on it. Your humor, grit, loyalty, and selflessness makes us all better. I could not admire you more!

To all my girlfriends reading this, know you are my inspiration. Some of you are moms, some of you have been my best friends since elementary school, some of you I met later in life, and you all mean the literal world to me. You all make me better. Thank you for inspiring me even when you don’t know that you are. I am in awe of the women I get to surround myself with.
